Application Data Folder

The Application Data sub-folder under the c:\users\<username> folder has a
shortcut symboil next to it and when you try to access it i get an access is
denied error. Why is this? I have full local administrative rights. There are
other folders that do it to. Cookies, nethood etc.

What gives?

Re: Application Data Folder

What you are seeing are junctions, or symlinks. They are not real folders,
but are there as pointers for legacy applications, to enable compatibility
with Vista's new folder structure.

In Vista, Application Data is replaced by AppData.
