| | Cannot Use a Static IP with Vista - Local Access Only I installed Vista and my wireless networking driver. I had an immediate Internet connection through the Linksys wireless router. Since I want to use remote desktop, I set a static IP on the wireless network connection. When I did that, I immediately lost my Internet connection and my connection went to Local Access only. I've tried a number of "elementary" approaches to the problem, but I keep coming back to Vista since the problem doesn't seem to exist on my XP box. Any suggestions on how to resolve this? Thanks. |
