Connevction to internet failure after reboot

Home Premiium on Sony Vaio F41

I can get this brand new computer to connect to the internet through my
wireless network but the next time I switch the computer on or reboot, the
wireless network shows 'local' only. I have to go through the repair
proceedure to get 'local and internet' connection. This happens every time I
start the computer or reboot it. I cannot find any reference to this
anywhere. Can anyone help, please.

Re: Connevction to internet failure after reboot

Try to disable IPV6. If that doesn't fix the problem. post back with the result of ipconfig /all.

Re: Connevction to internet failure after reboot

Thanks. I've given in and taken the computer back. I got the impression that
Vista isn't yet compatible with BT Broadband or my BT Home Hub. It certainly
wasn't compatible with my printer server or my Netgear SC101. It's a bit like
selling a Concorde without an operator's manual.
