How do I disable file and printer sharing???

I successfully upgraded my laptop from Windows XP Pro to Vista Ultimate and
have no problems with Vista. However, I am wondering how can I disable file
and printer sharing.

I went to files and folders' properties and saw functions to disable or able
file/printer sharing but that function is disabled preventing me from
selectiong disable option. I want to disable file and printer sharing the
same way I did with Windows XP Pro.

I am sole owner of laptop meaning I am administrator of its Vista yet Vista
is blocking me from selecting disable option for file and printer sharing
PLEASE HELP

Thanks,

Aharon

Hi Aharon,

Are you using the Network and Sharing Center to do this?

Go to Control Panel >> Network and Internet and click on Set up file
sharing. Click the button next to Public folder sharing, select Turn off
sharing and click Apply. Do the same for file sharing and printer sharing.
Does this work for you?
