Vista-W2K Domain Join Trashes Networking

Hi,

I manage a small domain, one W2K Server Domain Controller and 10 XP-Pro
clients. We just added a Vista laptop, and I tried to join it to the domain
via both the wizard as well as direct setting changes. After joining the
domain and restartting, all network conectivity is lost and I see messages
saying the services and dependency groups failed to start. I also get
'access denied' messages when I try to open vista's firewall. Only fix is
to restore back to before joining the domain. I've searched the KB and
TechNet, and nothing!

As of this moment, I can only run the laptop setting the workgroup name the
same as the domain, but of course don't have any of my domain functionality.

Any advise?
