| Guest | can't se computers on workgroup i have a excisting network with 2 XP, linux and mac OSX. now i bought another laptop with vista, and while all other computers can connect to eachother and the server (linux), who also distributes the internet, the new vista computer can access the internet through the network, but when i view the workgroup it can't see any computers. network discovery = on file sharing = on rest is on too. turned firewall and other security settings off network workes with static ip addresses, router... any ideas, tips tricks, anything i might have missed? when i run the "repair network" thing, it comes up with the solution that i should turn on wireless. but i plugged in a ethernet cable and internet works. cheers, dimitri |
