| | static ip address on a network bridge Hi, Just want to point out something I have found on Vista. When I set a static ip address on a network bridge it never saves the gateway ip the first tim you set it. Go back in and set it again and it works fine. Cheers Jonno |

| | Re: static ip address on a network bridge I just tried setting a network bridge with a static IP, and didn't see an issue. Would you mind posting exactly how to reproduce this? Are the adapters you're bridging configured a particular way that causes this to happen, for example? | | Re: static ip address on a network bridge I am using a Linksys WUSB54G Wireless USB adapter and the onboard network adapter of a HP Workstation XW6200 which is a broadcom gigabit adapter. I can reproduce it every time. I just selected both adapters in manage network connections then click bridge connections after thats completed I right click the bridge set the ip address, SNM, gateway and DNS servers click apply and then ok and when I try to connect to the internet it doesn't work. Go back into the properties of the bridge and the gateway address isn't there. Cheers Jonno "Michael A.
