| | Re: Unable to connect to Adobe Website No ideas but I find that I can access it on a clean install, but it won't load on an uograde install. All the IE settings are the same. | | Re: Unable to connect to Adobe Website I have the same problem trying to download acrobat reader. I also tried going to it from a site that contained the reader download link. Also on the Vista site, it mentioned CA and AVG AntiViris products that can be used on Vista. I downloaded both and tried installing them. Vista says they are not compatible and will not allow the install. Has anyone seen this? Thanks, Tony "Ted" wrote: > No ideas but I find that I can access it on a clean install, but it won't > load on an uograde install. | | Re: Unable to connect to Adobe Website I downloaded the CA A/V product and it installs and (I think!) works OK, but every time I boot up it asks for administrative rights to install something to the system tray. The principle of not using a privelidged account for normal use is fine (although, ahem... another operating system has been doing this for some time now... :-) but having to do this every boot is ridiculous. I imagine, though, this is the fault of the app rather than the o/s "Tony" wrote: > I have the same problem trying to download acrobat reader. | | Re: Unable to connect to Adobe Website Who's fault it is would depend on who your talking to. Microsoft will say it's the software, everyone else on the face of the planet will say it's Microsoft's issue.
