| | svchost.exe PID 1008 uses 130 Mb Ram In task manager I see that SVCHOST.exe is using upwards of 100Mb of my RAM. a. I am curious what specific processes/services this process (PID 1008) is using and if I will be able to disable them. b. Please tell me how to check what processes are running under a listing in Task Manager. c. Is my PID 1008 going to be the "same" process on everyone's computer, or do computers each create unique PIDs for their processes Thanks for responding! | | RE: svchost.exe PID 1008 uses 130 Mb Ram grab a copy of process explorer from Microsoft at http://www.microsoft.com/technet/sys...sExplorer.mspx This will allow you to see which sub-process of the service host is consuming the resources.
