Parallels Host-Guest Virtual NIC

PC: Toshiba Satellite P105-S6147
OS: Windows Vista Home Premium (pre-installed)
1Gb RAM
1.6Ghz Intel Pentium dual-core processor

I am looking for someone who can tell me what I have to do so a
virtual machine [Linux], installed under Parallels, will have access
to the Internet through my existing broadband connection.

The parallels Host-Guest Virtual NIC that gets created is listed under
the Unidentified Network (Public network).

Does anyone have experience with Parallels and Windows Vista, and
specifically, configuring settings so that the virtual machine has
access to the Internet connection in Windows Vista?
