| | Remote Desktop not importing local printers RD client on Vista Home Basic connecting to Windows Server 2003. Local printers are not importing, even though I have checked the "Printers" box in the "Local Resources" tab of the "Options" dialog of RD. Suggestions? |

| | RE: Remote Desktop not importing local printers I'm having the exact problem, but I believe it's a Vista Ultimate (64 Bit) connecting to a Windows Server 2003. When the Vista machine connects to the server, the local printer resources are not available even though I selected the option. When I use my computer which is running XP Pro, it does work to the same server. I have been unable to find anything on Google or support.microsoft.com KB for this problem. Anyone see this issue? | | RE: Remote Desktop not importing local printers I am having same issue. I have Vista Business connecting to Server 2003. NO local printers will show up. I tried the Registry fix that XP uses but that did not work. I have an HP JL 1320 connected through USB on the Vista pc. It would be great if someone out there has a fix for this. Otherwise---No more Vista for our company. "plndrm" wrote: > RD client on Vista Home Basic connecting to Windows Server 2003. | | RE: Remote Desktop not importing local printers I tried installing a Vista printer driver on the server, printer still could not be seen in Remote Desktop. Then I found this: Terminal Server Printer Redirection Wizard Tool: http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/d...displaylang=en I installed on the Server and ran it, re-booted the Server and now the local printers are being re-directed and they can finally print! |
