Hotel/Hotspot networks

Hi
Im going away shortly UK/and Netherlands and will be using a Vista Laptop.
Having read some posts in this group I understand that some hotspots and
hotels may be a problem with Vista.
I would like to anticipate any problems by taking printouts of workarounds
people have tried or a links to these.
Im not a techie but can use command prompts and the registry and would be
appreciate any help on this just in case

There are really no workarounds for this since you won't have access to
the routers' settings. The cause is that not all routers work with
Vista. Some can be made to work by applying firmware updates and some
would need to be replaced. Since this network equipment will belong to
the hotels, there's nothing you can do about this.

Re: Hotel/Hotspot networks

Windows Vista cannot obtain an IP address from certain routers or from
certain non-Microsoft DHCP servers
