Wireless network priority view

    Wireless network priority view

I saw this in the Microsoft TechNet forum and thought I'd post it here since
nobody seems to have a solution and I'm experiencing the same issue.

By default, the view option in Manage Wireless Networks is set to Extended
Tiles, which I understand is the normal Tiles view with more information, and
is normally automatically used if there are 15 or less items in the window.
There is no way to select other views because they are all greyed-out. In
the Extended Tiles view, clicking the Move Up and Move Down buttons to set
the priority or preference in connecting to wireless networks can be seen,
i.e. when you click Move Up, the selected network moves up in the queue and
    vice versa.

However, above 15 items, it automatically changes to the normal Tiles view,
and there is no way to see what the priority or preference of networks is!
You can choose to sort the tiles by Name, Type, Security or Mode, but when
you click Move Up or Move Down, the icons don't move! So you can't see which
network has priority over the other. And it's impossible to change the view
to Details or Extended Tiles because the options are all greyed-out (which is
rather silly of the designers actually).

Does anyone know how to fix this so that when I click Move Up or Move Down,
I can actually see which network has priority over the other?

    RE: Wireless network priority view

I have the same problem except the display mode in "manage wireless networks"
just changes to some other mode by itself. Usually after explorer gags on
    something.

HOW do you reset this? All of the view settings are grey.

    RE: Wireless network priority view

Just got annoyed enough with this to see what anyone else had said...

How in the wide wide world of sport am I supposed to move something "move
this item DOWN the list" (or up?) when it isn't a list and I can't make it
    display as one?

WHY can't we change views - what makes Wireless Network Connections so
special I MUST view them this idiotic way?

Did either of you guys find out anything useful elsewhere?

    RE: Wireless network priority view

I am also having this issue. There are only 6 setups saved in my list and
still it changed views on me. One thing to note is that my "Manage Network
Connections" menu also went screwy - but there it turned out I was able to
select one of the options under "Group By" to get it back to where I think it
was before. As previously mentioned by others, though, the options in the
Wireless Network are greyed out, so that is not an option. I've tried
deleting the registry keys mentioned elsewhere (Bags and BagsMRU), but those
do not work for me either (though they did fix my Program Files folder
showing up in albums view issue).
