Windows XP w SP2 and new Vista computer

I have a home network with 2 computers running XP Home with SP2 on both and a
D-Link DI - 624 that has worked very well sharing files and printers. Now I
have a new HP laptop with Vista Home Premium. I have an internet connection
with the Vista laptop, but cannot for the life of me figure out why I can't
use the shared printers or share any files. I can see the Laptop with Vista
when I view workgroup computers, but can't see any of the XP run computers
when I view from the Vista.
Please help!!!

This will frequently be a personal firewall problem, or the NetBT setting.

And you did set the Vista computer Network Location Type?

Look at the logs from "browstat status" and "ipconfig /all", from each computer,
so we can diagnose the problem. Read this article, and linked articles, and
follow instructions precisely (download browstat!):

Re: Windows XP w SP2 and new Vista computer

Chuck,

Thank you for your help in this matter. After downloading the LLTP patch
onto my XP machine, I rebooted everything including the Vista run laptop and
VOILA!!! I went to search for my network printers and files and quick as
lightning, there they were. Thanks again and keep on truckin.
