| | Re: Can I send messages over my LAN? you used to be able to open a cmd window and issue a net send \\computer "message" but it doesn't seem to be available anymore. | | Re: Can I send messages over my LAN? Hello Dave, the Net Send command is no longer supported in Windows Vista like it used to be in Windows 2000 or XP. You might want to consider either LanTalk XP or you can try NetSend which you can obtain here. http://www.cezeo.com/products/netsend/ -- Eric Cross Microsoft MVP (Windows Networking) http://mvp.support.microsoft.com "Dave" <dave@roadrunner.com> wrote in message news:ubtInpqqHHA.4768@TK2MSFTNGP02.phx.gbl... >I tried that, but SEND is missing... > at least in Home Premium. > > It's in XP. > > > "Chuck" <none@example.net> wrote in message > news:hqgl631bokcm9eecn57ud3sul2vobeqrei@4ax.com... >> On Sat, 9 Jun 2007 06:38:00 -0700, Chris >> <Chris@discussions.microsoft.com> >> wrote: >> >>>I have recently created a LAN.
