    cannot see networks

I have a new windows vista home premium laptop with built in wifi. I cannot
see my network in the chose a netwrok to connect to window. I can see this
network on all of my windows xp and windows 98 wireless computers. It is not
just my network because none of the other networks I typicly see on my other
computers show up either. How can I configure vista so that my network will
    appear.

Do you have a wireless router that accepts WIFI?
If you do, go into your router setup and add the new Vista laptop IP/MAC
    address.
Then go to main computer and allow this computer permission to access the
    network files.

    Hope this helps - KJ
