Either check the "Status" of the interface or from the command line use
IPCONFIG to make sure that there its getting or you've set the ip address
and gateway correctly.
I've noticed that sometimes after making changes or for some other reason I
have to disable the interface and then reenable to get it to work right, if
you're using DHCP where you don't set your ipaddress sometimes doing an
ipconfig /release first then doing the disable/enable has worked for me...
