A Success for a change

Just thought I would share this as I was amazed it all worked out of the
box.

Just bought a PS3. Switched it on, configured to my wireless network and it
picked up both my desktop and laptop straightaway (both Vista). Opened Media
Player 11 on both systems and had a look at the Media Sharing. PS3 was ther,
gave permission and went back to the PS3. Audio and video streamed no
problem.

Very pleased.

Tiberius,

I don't want to get into a "my OS is better than yours". The reason for my
comment is that I have had a few networking problems with Vista. I run MS
products around my house for the benefit of the rest of my family and the
uses they put computers to.

For my part I have run SuSe since the 7 series and have thoroughly enjoyed
the tinkering with the source code, and for my part it does provide a
practical desktop alternative. However, wireless support is still not quite
there and that is essential in my home environment.

Each OS, be it Linux, OS X or Windows has its own place and purpose in my
book.
