| | No network access, Diagnostic Policy Service won't start Running Windows Vista Home Premium with home LAN (wired) to cable modem Computer cannot connect to network; have 169 IP address Network & Sharing Center says "Unknown: The dependency service or group failed to start" Network Diagnostics "cannot run because the Diagnostic Policy Service is not running" Trying to start Diagnostic Policy Service results in "Error 5: Access is denied." (This happens even when running Service Control Manager as administrator.) Any suggestions? |
