| | 2 Dell Vista PC's access to each other's C: drive is denied! Hello, I have 2 new Dell XPS 410 PC's, both running Vista Home Premium. Both are on Ethernet wiring to the same cable modem, and both access the Internet with no problem. But I need for each PC to be able to see the other's C: drive. One PC needs read-only access to the other PC, and one needs read/change/write access. I've got everything set up and mapped, but when I try to access either C: drive, I get the error message "Access is Denied" to the full C: drive. I think I'm overlooking something simple, but darn if I know what it is. Can anyone help? Thanks, MrBill |

| | Re: 2 Dell Vista PC's access to each other's C: drive is denied! I just assigned permissions to "Everyone", which seems to be working OK. Interestingly enough Vista is protecting a LOT of the folders from viewing by the other PC, but I expected this. The only question I have left is: Will new folders inherit the security settings of the folders above them?
