| | Changing connection type w/o using Connection Manager I need my Windows Vista to automatically set any network connection that comes to my 3Com network card as PRIVATE (while the default behaviour is tagging it as PUBLIC). Anybody could help? Thanks! More info: - The network card has a static IP address (192.168.1.5) - Vista fails to identify the network and so marks any connection as PUBLIC ![]() - I don't want to open Network Connection Centre to switch to private, since I usually establish network connections from a remote position and I cannot go "physically" to my computer everytime I connect a network device... - I could eventually use a WMI script but I couldn't find the proper class and method (I looked for it in the root\Microsoft\HomeNet namespace...) Thanks again!! |
