| Guest | Vista to Server 2003 shared folders Hi all, and thanks for looking in advance... I have a Domain ("MX") with users. In the domain, several computers exist, amonst which some Virtual Server 2005's, some Vista Ultimates (one called "EX") on physical boxes, and a Windows Server 2003 (named: "TX") on a physical box. The virtual- or non-virtual nature of the boxes doesn't matter to my question, I believe. When I try to access the shared folders on TX from EX, while logged in as a Domain User on EX, I get an error that my rights aren't correct. When I log into EX as the Domain Administrator, I *can* access my folders (as desired). Now, I'd guess I need to make some changes in my permission settings on TX, but the 'everyone' users have all rights enabled. What's going wrong? Can anyone tell me? Or suggest some tool I can use to trace my problem? Thanks again, Tobias |

When you say that Everyone has all rights enabled is that the NTFS permissions or the Share permissions? I have Ultimate accessing shares on a 2003 server with no problems using Everyone - Full Control against the Share and Everyone - Read NTFS permissions against the directories within the share. |

Turns out that my coworker didn't correctly move it from the old to the new domain server. Humming like a kitten now. Tobias |
