| Guest | error 815 connecting through WAN miniport (PPOE) I've just begun using my new laptop and have encountered a problem. I've set up a wireless router, use a cable modem and both are working great. Now, when I go into Ebay the "Connecting to Broadband" Error 815 . . . . appears. I close it down and in a minute it reappears. I have now idea what is going on. I'm connected with no problem through my wireless router and have no idea why this is happening, I do have a modem (for dial-up) installed on this computer (it came that way) but have no reason to active or use it. How can I disable this? Thanks!! |

| Guest | RE: error 815 connecting through WAN miniport (PPOE) sharpei, Error 815 is an authentication error to the server. You should check with your ISP to make sure you have all the software and settings needed in order to connect. "sharpei" wrote:

| Guest | Re: error 815 connecting through WAN miniport (PPOE) I found this site that might help. I am using vista home premium, but it should work for all 815 errors. Good luck. http://forums.techguy.org/windows-vi...m-due-wan.html -- vilebillc ------------------------------------------------------------------------ vilebillc's Profile: http://forums.techarena.in/member.php?userid=35862 View this thread: http://forums.techarena.in/showthread.php?t=796395 http://forums.techarena.in |
