| | Cut & Paste, Move and Rename folder or file in the network I have a Vista business version pre installed on a acer PC TravelMate 3040, but I could not operate in any network with basical function like: Cut & Paste, Move and Rename folder or file.... It answer to me: "the file or folder it does not exist, it could be moved or eliminated....crate a new one?".... if i give yes then, it show up again same questions... how i can solve this problem?... tks for support. Ciao Stefano (I write from Italy, but also an answer in english will be very appreciate) PS I tried every configuration in the network setup |

| | Re: Cut & Paste, Move and Rename folder or file in the network Thank you Robert for your help, fortunatelly I found a solution to this problem after an entire day of reserch in internet; I had been lukciest then in the past, because it was several month that I had been afflicted w/h this problem; below I put the Register String, that will gice teh solution: Pls crate if not existing the follwing key: [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\CSC\Parameters] "FormatDatabase"=dword:00000001 Right click CSC key and go to New >> Key,then name it Parameters Then click on the Parameters key and in the right hand pane,right click and create a New >> DWORD Value and name it FormatDatabase. Then right click FormatDatabase and Modify,in the window that opens enter 1 in the Value Data box and make sure the Hexadecimal radio button is checked and hit OK. Exit Registry Editor and restart your machine.
