    Yet another web folders problem

    This is strange.
When I create a network location pointing to a secure WebDAV server (https),
the Windows Explorer interface acts strange. Double-clicking files or
folders does not open the item. I have to right-click and then select open
    to get it to work.

Also, none of the applications (such as Office 2007 apps) on my computer can
see into the web folder. The only way I can open files is to save it to my
    computer.

I installed the KB907306 to no avail. Has anyone else seen this behavior?
Any ideas what to try? I have the feeling that it's an improper registry
    setting somewhere.

There is a patch for the Exchange Server. See:

You receive an error message when you try to perform any editing tasks,
or you must click to enable the compose frame in Outlook Web Access
(Exchange Server needs a patch for Vista workstations) -
    http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx/kb/911829

Have your IT Dept. patch the server.

Thanks for replying, but we're not running an exchange server.

If you would read the information in the KB article, you would see that
this is applicable to Web Access. If you still feel it isn't applicable,
have your IT Dept. open a service call w/MS.

Re: Yet another web folders problem

I see that it is applicable to Outlook Web Access, which is Exchange server's
web page that allows you to access your email on exchange via the web. But
this is not at all what I'm talking about. And anyway, how would one apply a
hotfix for Exchange Server if one is not running Exchange Server?

My problem, since I'm not accessing an Exchange Server in any way, is not
    related to MS Exchange.

But I do appreciate your response--you're the only one in three forums to
    even respond!!
