Network and Internet Connectiviy

I have a vista comp connected to a home router which several other computers
are connected to and function fine. My comp, however, is continuously going
between 3 states of connectivity. Sometimes it will be connected to the
internet, sometimes it will be connected to the network but not have internet
connection, and sometimes it won't be able to see the network at all saying
the problem is that there is no network cable plugged in. It most likely
isn't the wiring, because I can connect another computer with the same cables
and its connection will be fine. Most often the computer will be fully
connected to the internet for about 1 minute, then it looks like the computer
does not detect any connection to a network, but takes a second and connects
to the network and takes a few more seconds and connects to the internet. I
think the problem is most likely between the computer and network, opposed to
the computer and internet.

RE: Network and Internet Connectiviy

Also it is often less than a 10 seconds the computer is connected to the
internet. I've been having this problem for about 3 days. Before 3 days ago
the computer was at a different house connected to a different router and
could not connect to the internet at all, not sure if it could connect to the
network. About a month before that, the computer had been connecting to the
internet fine for months.
