| | wireless lap top cant connect Hello, i have a gateway computer (laptop) that we upgraded to vista. everything is great except one problem. our wireless connection doesnt work. it did at first but now there is no connection. the computer will connect to the internet if i plug directly into the laptop. i have no idea how or where i would begin to try and fix this. -- i dont know if this will be any help but under my connection icon when you open that it only has the network for aol dial up. do i need to install a new network? how can i fix this.. please help Thank you very much- danny |

| Win XP Pro / Win Vista Ultimate | Re: wireless lap top cant connect open the device manager and check if you have a category named "other devices", if in there you can see "ethernet controller", then the driver is missing, and you just need to install the driver. if the driver is ok it should appear under network adapters. |
