| | Turning off offline files doesn't recover the disk space Hi, I had offline files enabled on my laptop and when I first enabled it, Vista took 20% of the disk for it (set aside I guess, I found the setting for adjusting that percentage). I didn't have any use of the sync anymore and disabled offline files. I deleted all the files too, but to my surprise Vista didn't give me my space back ![]() I can't find any settings for turning that thing off - permanently.. I googled it and realized that all the synced files resided under %SYSTEMROOT%\CSC and tried to remove all the folders there (in safe mode) - not even that gave me my space back... Is the 20% a non refundable signup fee?^^ I'm sure I missed something - can any one help me? |
