| | Remote Desktop - Vista home premium to XP Pro Using VPN I can connect XP to XP Pro. The only issue was setting up a firewal exclusion for "remote desktop". This option is either hidden or unavailable with VISTA Home Premium. In either case, I'm unable to logon to the XP pro machine with VISTA. I see the start of the remote connection, but get a login error message requesting credentials. |

| | RE: Remote Desktop - Vista home premium to XP Pro After a ton of perusing, I finally read the solution. With XP you only need the host's computer name. With VISTA Home Premium, you need the host's full computer name. Start | Control Panel | System | Computer Name tab. "Elrod" wrote: Quote: > Using VPN I can connect XP to XP Pro.
