| Guest | Vista ODBC/DSN errors connecting to windows 2000 server Cannot connect from a Vista business desktop to a windows 2000 server with SQL 2000 running also. Anyone know how to get this working? Won't even create the DSN/ODBC. |

| Guest | RE: Vista ODBC/DSN errors connecting to windows 2000 server I have the same problem. I believe it is because I'm using Vista 64-bit and trying to add ODBC sources in a 64-bit environment. Is there a snap-in console in which I can add 32-bit ODBC connections so they show up in my 32-bit applications for usage? I am using a 32-bit application (Frontrange HEAT) and through that application I was able to create an ODBC to a SQL 2000 Server. The ODBC connection does not show up however in the Administrative Tools > Data Sources (ODBC). Again, I'm sure this is because I'm in the 64-bit ODBC tool when I'm sure it would show in a 32-bit environment of it. Any advice would be appreciated. | Guest | RE: Vista ODBC/DSN errors connecting to windows 2000 server I figured out the problem...or at least I found the solution at this website. http://msmvps.com/blogs/spywaresucks...11/897398.aspx I changed the path to that of C:\Windows\SysWOW64\odbcad32.exe insetead and I'm able to add all my old ODBC connections and they show up in the 32-bit apps.
