Re: Vista SP1 RTM's

Hey guys,

If you're having trouble with the OEM release of Vista SP1, either in downloading the IMG file (torrent link available) or knowing what to install - take a look at the reply I just posted...

Vistax64.com - SP1 FINAL (oem partner download)

I hope you find it helpful!

Re: Vista SP1 RTM's

well SP1 installed successfully after having to do an Error checking scan on c:/ and install some more updates.... i think i have seen a noticeable speed increase but i haven't really checked much... so far system boot and windows experience check is all i have had time for and both seemed faster however i did notice that every score stayed at 5.9 but my ram dropped from 5.1 to 5.0.
nothing to panic about though...after all its only 4 GB out of a possible 32 GB
not sure if this has anything to do with SP1 but i have just noticed in device manager i now have AsusOtherDevices--EIO Driver. lets hope this stops the Nvidia Driver BSOD issue

If you mean the occasional crash near the end of boot due to nvlddmkm.sys, I've had it before & after installing SP1.

Re: Vista SP1 RTM's

I have been able to download and install the Vista x64 SP1 after retrieving it from isohunt. The install took no more than an hour and rebooted a few times. Very smooth install process. I think there were only 2-3 prompts for user action (OK, Install, etc.)

So far, so good, at least for the first 3 days of it being on my system. I was able to transfer from HD to HD at 95MB/s which is a great improvement over the initial build's abilities.

Re: Vista SP1 RTM's

Why bother, Microsoft pulled the update, and as a result, people are resorting to downloading off of BitTorrent.
