| Vista 32 Ultimate SP1 | Re: SP1 FINAL (oem partner download).. my recomadation down load the ISO SP1 cause Microsoft lied to us they said on the radio on the news on the web sites and The Teir 3 Tech support OPS said they Wern't gonna bother those who used the crack version cause vista had so many flaws right from the start now they changed there mind and put in this update to do well it's gonna be removed where taking them to court over this our radio station had the Interview with Microsoft spokes person stating they wert gonna touch those who had the crack version and where gonna let it go and continue with the Sp1 as schedualed some fked up again shoot the person for release it shame on him/her who sent the file update out smarten up Microsoft. Yes, indeed it is Microsoft that needs to "smarten up." They made it pretty clear that they were going to address the exploitations that were letting some people steal software. Nobody will successfully take them to court for the content of future-looking statements they may have said about what their future software update will contain. If the readme tells you it won't address that issue, but it does, then you'd have a possible (albeit EXTREMELY weak) case. Finally, your justification that they not address piracy because you or others feel that the quality of their initial release was poor, makes absolutely no sense. You would seem to assert that they have an obligation to provide with and you have some human right to receive pirated software free and clear of any flaws. On the contrary, if the initial release was of poor quality, then only paying customers had any right to use it and any right to have those flaws repaired. If you steal my car with old tires on it, you have no right to sue me if I won't give you a free set of new tires. Good day sir, Rob I geuss you Wern't Listening SIR MicroSoft CEO On Our Radio show Quoted The People who down loaded cracks to fix an mantain there software cause of the earlyer flaws in vista once they have reported it to microsoft microsft wasn't gonna penilize those who did cause most software manifactures coun't get the new codes and genorate oem fix's fast enough for there customers so they had no other choice systems crashing had to take computers pay out alot of money for system crashing cause update pulling out the PID serials when they perfectly legal OEM copies right from the manifacture them self when the manifacture gives Multi-Licencing released copies to there customers who bought there computers from best buy staples radio shack which now called the Source those store have said the same there warrenty only covers fixing the computers not the Pid Licence it was up to the componys to provide you' a new licence that will work some componys couldn't even find the ones printed on the brand new computers right out of the box from the store now to the average customer i'd be pissed off to now do you see my point .and HP and ATI AMD and Compacq had to wait till Microsoft sent them new licenceing to fix this problem for some people it was to late there warrenties Expired. | Windows Vista Ultimate X64 SPII | Re: SP1 FINAL (oem partner download).. I have to agree on DjLevel9 point of view here, not saying he is completely correct, but Microsoft should have rectified this situation PRIOR to these permanent releases and/or fixes. All i have to say is Microsoft is digging a hole bigger each week for themselves, so yeah , considering they are looked upon as one of the biggest software developers, this is bad. Power to the people! |

| Vista Ultimate 64-bit SP1 | Re: SP1 FINAL (oem partner download).. The VAST majority of people running cracked versions are doing so to steal the software. I live in China. It costs 5 rmb ($0.66) for a factory pressed DVD of Vista Ultimate with quality printed covers too. I haven't seen a business here yet that actually pays for any of its software. MS has a right and obligation to prevent people from stealing. You think its some evil company because that fits the world your imagination has created. The reality is that MS is a few thousand people with mortgages, children, and friends and family. They aren't arrogant people. They are hard working, and generally quite reasonable. To make the point clearer, if I go to a car lot in the middle of the night and steal a car, I shouldn't expect the dealership to not call the police when I take it in for warranty service. They aren't calling the police, but they are refusing you free service. Rob |
