SP1 Public Download Now Available

I've got my computer set to download automatic Microsoft updates. Will it have loaded Vista 64 SP1? How can I check?

Thanks for the link. It took about 30 minutes to download but it worked and everything is stable so far. After the last boot i got a popup saying that i needed to reinstall Soundmax drivers and after some Googling i will. Sounds plays fine though on dvd's, video and audio files. No complaints here.

Thanks for the heads up on the SP1. My question to you all is, I have Vista Business, 32Bit., in Finnish. I see Finnish is not listed in the 5 languages available in the download. Will it be worth me downloading, or not?

Its ok, I found out I cannot install this due to the language.

already posted the link from the Micro soft web site the direct link some computers are slow in sending out the updates if diffrent for each country and city

imply be becuase they don't want 5 billion people updating at the same time? I think my set up checks for updates once a day. So if everyone comes home from work, boots up the machine do you know how many 6pm downloads would be popping off? I think its more of a staggering effect. Going to use the link now but if its big that backs into my theory of a staggered update. Plus it gives M$ time to respond to any issues.

Just got done Installing from WU.
No problems at all, went very smooth
forty five minutes for 70 MB one restart.
Had to 'load one defender UD first
then I was offered SP1.

Glad it's over with.

Thank you thank you thank you! The e-mail notification was greatly appreciated and so was the patch.

After about 2 and 1/2 hours of installing I experimentally tried loading a couple of .NET based applications that were failing to start because they weren't entirely compatible with the x64 version of .NET, it was likely a flaw in .NET.

Now they work! Haven't used it enough yet to notice what else they changed, guess I should read the documentation.
