Re: IE8 Beta News

Yanno, I tried IE Beta 1 - and removed it in a matter of hours - it was slow, buggy, and a major PITA.

I certainly hope it gets better - right now Fx and Opera are way ahead of IE in hte game. It'll be interesting to see what IE 8 can do - form a team that had previously said there would be nothing new after IE 6....

Re: IE8 Beta News

I run IE8 without any major problems, i reported few bugs so far but generally speaking, it works fine and some new options are quite interesting.
Maxthon and IE7 pro managed to be compatible.

Re: IE8 Beta News

I am leery of giving it another shot - but now that I am on Vista X64, it might b different....

plus, that install, comet to think of it, had its own issues as well - it took me forever and a day to figure out what I was not getting SP1 when every one else was....came down to drivers I had installed that the readiness tool never told me were in conflict but in fact were in conflict with me installing Sp1 lol....

Also, that was a POS P4 3.2 (E)GHz machine with IDE drives and 3 GB of DDR3200 RAM....

My new machine's specs might make all the difference in the world....

Had never serious probs with beta 1, just a few pages that loaded incorrectly. Curious what the endresult will be

Re: IE8 Beta News

Well, there is more - I also play spades online at MSN GameZone, and I don't want to see that broken either.

But it is all good - I found the IE 8 VPC to play with so I don't have to actually install it....
