Re: Is More Memory Better?

Home Premium (x64) maxes out at 16 GB. I have 4 GB in my new laptop.

Re: Is More Memory Better?

Whyd you need that amount though. The current sweet spot for 64-bit vista is 4gb. Anything more is simply a waste.

Dang 128gig of ram in your system with Ultimate would be sweet lol

Just think how useless it would be, but sure would be cool to tell everyone what your system specs are lol

Re: Is More Memory Better?

Running 4GB of Kingston ValueRam 1.8v DDR2 800mhz on an Intel DP35DP board for almost 4 months. Really like the quickness of Vista x64 on programs like Adobe Photoshop Elements 6.0. Also internet pages load fast. Windows Reliability score has been between 8.5 and 10 since install. Happy with my setup

Depends on what you're doing... I like to run multiple programs at the same time, some of them take up a lot of processing power and memory usage. For instance, when recording system intensive video games like Crysis with Fraps more memory is beneficial... And I do that a lot.

Re: Is More Memory Better?

I regularly run lots of programs, admittedly nothing to do with video, running and system copes nicely with 4gb.
