Re: Google Launch Browser - Chrome

Ran Adaware 2008 last night with no problems. Picked up a load of tracking cookies etc.

Hey , thanks so much. I have played with it for a while now and I think I am getting the hang of it lol. It is fast and has a lot of potential with more development. Of course . for now , I will keep Firefox as my default browser.

Re: Google Launch Browser - Chrome

Some websites tell me that "There is not an available plug-in" One of the sites is the Shockwave Game site where the game of "Cubis" won't load. Here it says there is not an available plug-in. I think it is Java related although I have the latest version and updated version of Java. I have no problem playing this game on IE or Firefox. Just Chrome.

Other sites that involve Java tell me that there is not an available plug-in.

Re: Google Launch Browser - Chrome

Another problem. Cannot see CNN videos , live ones or others. On the live video it tells me this Alert box

Alert CNN.com - Breaking News, U.S., World, Weather, Entertainment & Video News

Second Chance exception while raising fatal exception: Error name: Invalid ArgsError, Error Message: Error type: Invalid Args Error.
Error Text: No vertical mode listner registered for node type: Live Slate

This makes no sense to me.

The regular videos that are not live tell me this.

This Cnn feature is optimized for Adobe Flash Player version 8 mor higher. You are currently using Flash Player version 9.
Install flash player(This is paled out)

So there are some obvious bugs in this browser.

I originally had problems with Java but was able to figure it out:

I downloaded and installed the beta JRE: (http://www.java.net/download/jdk6/6u...1_jul_2008.exe).

I then received a "MSVCR71.dll file not found" error whenever I tried to use Java with Chrome.

So, I copied the "msvcr71.dll" file from C:\Program Files (x86)\Java\jre6\bin (or wherever you installed Java) to C:\Windows\SysWOW64.

Java now works!

I can play regular CNN and FoxNews videos and live FoxNews videos but am unable to play CNN Live video. I download and install the Turner Media Plugin but Chrome doesn't recognize it.

I stand corrected. Just tried CNN again and can't play the regular videos as well. Receive the same error as Jillian. I've applied one update to Chrome that must have broken that functionality. Oh well . . .
