Re: Google Chrome Download link

FF fanboy here...LOL

i just installed Google Chrome & i gotta say ''IM IMPRESSED''....she's pretty responsive!!!
i have a few little niggles i hope can be solved ...if so i think i have found my new browser....

for some reason every time i switch tabs it logs me out of this forum... i dont know why..?? its selected to remember my details ??

also i cant click the mouse wheel & scroll the whole screen....& theres no smooth scroll either ??

anyone know if there is options for these problems ...i checked the ''tools'' but its a pretty basic layout.

thx.....SK

I just installed a few minutes ago, does seem fast!

Edit: dragging tabs is cool, Like skunk says I can't click the wheel down and scroll, no smooth scroll!
I do like the spell check.

Re: Google Chrome Download link

My goodness.I have just installed "Chrome",and it took just seconds to set up,import my bookmarks, and get going.Checked the security features, and they seem fine.Adjusted the cookie setting,to block third party cookies, but that's all.Not too sure about the "blue theme"....no chrome?

Will see how I get on over a few days.Probably wont use it as my default browser, but it looks interesting.

Re: Google Chrome Download link

Certainly is fast but I do find it a bit too clean. Have a FF3 setup with addons to work exactly the way I want to so will not be changing my defaut browser yet. will be looking on at the developement with interest though, and who knows... if this is a first attempt it bodes well for the future.

Re: Google Chrome Download link

Hi Jillian

If you click on the Google Chrome at the top left of the browser window, the next page is a welcome page and has a help link to a getting started guide. it's not that "in Depth" yet but does give some usefull advice.

Re: Google Chrome Download link

Wow! Launches quicker than IE x64 and loads pages extremely fast.

CNN regular videos and Fox News regular and live videos play flawlessly.

Definitely needs some work, though:

- CNN Live Video does not function even after installing the plugin.
- I couldn't access my CAC-enabled OWA site because Chrome doesn't load the appropriate SSL client certificate.

Great first attempt by Google. I'm sure their browser will continue to improve; hopefully, they won't cross the line between functionality and bloat.

Don't like the looks of it, but I suppoise I could get used to it. Beta....hmmm. I wonder how many years it will be called "Beta". Isn't almost everything Google does forever beta?
