Be sure to read Chrome's fine print | Beyond Binary - A blog by Ina Fried - CNET News

Better read before downloading

Re: Google Launch Browser - Chrome

The minimize/tile/close buttons don't work for me. Faster than IE 8 Beta. Like the spell checker. Remembers text size settings, unlike IE 8. Clean and does the job.

lol It might be beta for a year or two while they add and fix features...

This release does not have a 64bit version, does not support flash and also uses Firefox core... Personally I also dont like how it creates a new process for each new tab consuming 20mb at minimum...

It also has a habit of breaking web page elements!...Looks and works really nice reguardless but needs plugin support and better page eliment support for dynamic pages like our forum...oh and also needs Flash!

Crome`s BrowserID is very similar to Firefox and Safari
Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 6.0; en-US) AppleWebKit/525.13 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/0.2.14

Re: Google Launch Browser - Chrome

Well for a first release I think Google's Chrome is very very nice.

I remember when Firefox came out and it was not even close to what it is today so I am giving Google credit on this first public release!

I would not be surprised if Firefox and Google came together and created a mega browser that kills IE to no end!

It's a fine browser, even if it's just beta...I really like it...to bad for the memory consummation, I have two processes named Google Chrome and they both use aprox 20MB.
