Their explaination was that is was just a generic EULA.

If they wanted to spy on us surely it would be easier with some of the none open source apps they have like the google toolbar or google desktop.
That the EULA's language exists at all is what's troubling, at least to me. With a EULA like that, why bother spying? At least according to that EULA, all data input to anything Google belongs to Google to do with as they see fit. Isn't that the gist of their language?

Do you know if this generic EULA is included with Gmail?

Yes , the leaving behind of updaters and version checkers is becoming quite common with installs these days and it's not just Google either at least with google updater there is an uninstall in control panel .

Re: Google Launch Browser - Chrome

For those who actually installed google chrome would you like to check something for me
It seems that since i installed chrome i could no longer run the likes of full scan in Adaware 2008 and also windows system tools such as services.msc
it seemed to be linked to proserver32 where a registry key was missing, the other part im still unsure of, although i manged to fix via running emisofts A2-Squared malware scanner.... possably somthing where smitfraud was detected
possably unrelated but worth the check
i just have to question due to the timing of installing and the related issues

Re: Google Launch Browser - Chrome

most strange.... i really cant see anything ells causing this problem.... maybe it was just some sort of glitch where the .msc de associated its self and corrupted the system 32 value
