The massive rollout of the new version of Windows Live Hotmail began in September and, as with any change to a highly popular service, there was much public outcry. iGoogle, Facebook, MySpace, and countless other services have received much backlash as they updated their user interfaces. All of them, however, stood by their changes, and so has Microsoft, while listening selectively to feedback, of course:

The rollout has been slow because we've been reading and listening to your comments. We've read all the comments, followed up with some of you, and changed the service as we went. Since our original announcement, we have read and analyzed several thousand comments, fixed several bugs, and released five updates to the code. So, we want you to know that we're listening, we're making changes, and we want the service to be great.

Q: Can I opt out? Can I get the old version back?
A: We can’t provide two fast, secure, reliable experiences, so we have decided to just keep the new version. However, we will continue to improve the new version, based on many of your comments here, to make it work better for you.

Crazy new hotmail. On my wife's laptop, the GREEN option locks up when she jumps from one IE to another... but when she selects the LIGHT BLUE, works fine.

Go figure??!!!!

I haven't even been to look yet, I have my Hotmail account set up in Windows Live Mail so just deal with any mail through that.
I suppose that I'll have to go have a look at some time when I get 5 minutes to spare but it's not top of my to do list

Does it still have Free Push email to your mobile phone?
That is supposed to be one of the awesome features of hotmail.

It´s Not Only The New Hotmail. It is also The Beta Messenger and so on. And The User Can´t Decise about the Login Service and so on. Microsoft Is Making his Name Bad By Itself.

no, it is not that bad like what u said.

ms has given up lots of heavy components in the classic design and reconstructed a whole new backing system. As what ms has promised, speed now goes upto 70% faster and give you more inter-connectivity.

if you are experiencing problems, first check you own system config. Services ONLY work on healthy system.

OK. The Live Version is Faster. And Its My Opinion. I Didnt ´like to Much "Online Living". My Ex Girl Friend Lives Now in ICQ, MSN, (KWICK in Germany) iLove(German) and so on. And Here in Germany its Expensive to be Online. At the First; Because The Money. And The Second; The Time. The People who only Living "Virtual". That´s the Problem. And Since The Internet Providers must Save the User Data (in Germany) and so on, the Internet is Really Slow in Citys Under 100,000 People. Thats Why I Didn ´t like it so much. In Five Words Big Brother Is Watching You. But Not only Watching.
