| Vista Ultimate x64 | Windows 7 RTM: July? August? September? October? It is widely expected that the Windows 7 Release Candidate will arrive in April, 2009, though whether the rumored April 10 date holds remains to be seen. Just over a month from now, we'll likely be playing around with the RC and wondering when the final will arrive. Despite the fact that Microsoft insists on sticking to the January 2010 timeframe, which is three years after the general availability of Vista, many sources have already pointed to an earlier release. This is not surprising whatsoever; January is not a good time to release a new product.

| Windows 7 x64 (7229) | Re: Windows 7 RTM: July? August? September? October? Windows Vista is going to end up the forgotten child isn't it? I have loved Vista but I am now running Windows 7 beta (7048) on an old computer. I would never even think of running Vista on this old PC. Windows 7 runs great. I will be switching to 7 when it comes out. Vista almost feels like the Windows 7 beta. Windows 7 beta feels like what Vista should have been. I feel like I'm just getting ready for 7. Vista will be all but gone in two years. |
