Thanks subzero, your suggestion of Print Spooler setting to Automatic worked for me and my IE8 working very well.

Ok, I downloaded and installed IE 8 over IE 8 RC 1. Now, it seems slower than before when I open up IE 8. In RC 1, IE would load in just a little over 1 second. Now it takes well over 5 seconds. I tried to uninstall IE 8 RC 1 from the control panel but it does not exist in the add/remove programs. So where can I find RC 1 to remove and reinstall IE 8.

I always have to log into various sites with IE8. Is there a setting that is clearing out cookies?

    Or would CCleaner be responsible?

To be absolutely sure, you can uncheck Cookies and Temporary Internet Files.
Alternatively, you can go to Options > Cookies, and choose which ones you want to keep.

OK, here's a weird one - http://www.rage3d.com/ will not display properly under IE8 Final. This has also been noted by one other person at rage3d thus far - http://www.rage3d.com/board/showthread.php?t=33943075. I'll also add that what ever happened to cause this happened sometime Wednsday, because I had visited it that night and things well working fine till last night. This was with IE8 Final.

    rage3d.com-problem.jpg

Here's the weird thing, Windows 7 x64 RC1 with IE8 beta displays the site, Windows XP Pro with IE8 RC1 displays the site correctly as well. But IE8 final on my Vista HD does not. And the other person on rage3d who's also having the problem is also using IE8 final, though he's under XP. So this is definitely a problem with IE8 Final.

And deleting temp files, cookies, history, using compatibility mode, protected mode on or off has no effect. Right now I'm on XP using IE8 RC1 to navigate between here and rage3d. I'll go back to Vista after this post to see if rebooting the machine fixed the problem.

So my question - can anyone else duplicate this issue under IE8 "Final"???

    Thanks

Are you saying that you don't have a printer icon showing in your IE7 ? I have one showing in mine it's on the right hand side, you have Home, RSS, Printer, Page and Tools, if you click the arrow beside the printer icon the drop down shows print, print preview and page setup.
