I don't get it...
Retail Ultimate upgrade in US = $219.99
Retail Ultimate upgrade in EU = €299.99 ($422)?????????
In Europe the difference between an upgrade and full is only €20.
Are they really expecting us to fork out $422 for an upgrade after 2 years using Vista?

nope, the prices are at upgrade prices in europe, whatever vista prices are right now, knock 10 dollars off that and thats your final price. watch the video on the windows blog, and if you downloaded the beta or rc version, you get it even cheaper, you dont need ultimate anyway, its just a few extras.

From what i can tell ( i might be wrong ) its going to cost me £100 to upgrade from Vista Ultimate to Windows 7 Ultimate.

I think im going to take that money and put it towards a new Solid State Drive instead. The upgrade price should have been closer to what Apple has offered their costomers.

Well, perhaps that's your situation. But I need English and Korean language so I do need Ultimate.
