Re: Windows 7 pricing announced: cheaper than Vista‏

Question: I heard somewhere that their would be a price reduction for those people who already had Vista? Like....
Vista Home Premium to Windows 7 Home Premium = Less Money instead of the 1XX dollars...

Microsoft is not getting over $200 from me only 2 years after i payed for Vista. I'l give it a miss and wait till windows 8.

Its not really introducing anything i want anyway.

Im curious to see the final version as well but i just feel like the work they put into windows 7 should have been put into Vista. For instance would it really have been that hard in SP2 for Vista to have the WEI scores increased above 5.9 or too introduce the Aero shake and stacking etc

Im certainly not going to be buying a new OS every 2 years.

@DarkDavil - Those who get in on the pre-order can grab the Windows 7 Home Premium upgrade for $49 - if they're in the U.S.

Reckon curiosity will get the better of me initially, but I'll wait until after SP1.

I'm just hoping (against hope?) that Microsoft gives us Vista users (especially Ultimate) break.

At any rate curiosity "will" get the better of me.

I see.. but im not a grown adult ..... so i can't exactly get 50$$ from somewhere.... I do hope Microsoft does make a deal with all current vista users(maybe even with x64 and not x32... but i rly dunno... i think if only ultimate users get the benefit of a cheaper OS it's totally unfair. And as stated above... im DEFINATELY not going to be buying a new OS every couple-of-years.. its just ridiculous!
