[Quote]So you have finally made the move from Windows XP to Windows 7, everything is working great, but a few things have changed. Yes indeed, there is a new look, but a familiar experience along with numerous changes and improvements since the release of Windows XP back in October 2001. For some persons, it might be a bit overwhelming, to help make the transition a smooth one, here is a quick guide to help familiarize yourself with some of the changes and benefits:
Welcome
As with every new install or first time use of Windows, the first interactive experience is logging in. Depending on how your PC is setup, you might or might not see the Account Screen when you start your Windows session, for those who do, here is a look at some of the changes:[End Quote]

I will never say goodbye to Windows XP!!! NEVER!!! No matter how fast Windows 7 is, it will never erase the legacy of XP. XP was the most successful Windows OS that ever existed!

I wished that Vista would be built on XP's foundation, but obviously MS had other ideas. Sigh...

.....and so, a new word for the lexicon; expephile

expephile
n. one who displays and practices unrequited loyalty to near-extinct
computer operating systems, with fervent hope for the system's resurrection.

The fanatical attitudes and principles espoused, proclaimed and broadcast by
expephiles, vaguely emulate those same qualities found in a group of people
from another era....the Luddites.
