Ballmer: Testers didn't ring Vista warning bells; Could the same happen with Windows.

Quote:
Microsoft CEO Steve Ballmer has done his best over the past year-plus to try to dampen expectations around Windows 7. Testers tend to know what they're doing. If you truly want to beta test an operating system, program, etc., you put it in the hands of a complete novice. They are the ones who will break it. They will try things that they shouldn't (not that I don't - hehe).
