New OneDrive iOS App Updates Available

Today we updated our iOS app to improve the OneDrive experience on your iPhone or iPad. We added some features based on customer requests and others to take advantage of new technologies in iOS 8. We’re working hard to help you do more while on the go—today we updated our iOS app and just last week we updated our Android app. For all our Windows Phone customers: stay tuned, updates are coming your way soon, too!

First, to help prevent other people who use your device from accidentally making changes to your files, we added the ability to require a PIN code to access the OneDrive app. We also built on the brand new Touch ID API in iOS 8 to let you use a fingerprint to sign in to the app.

Second, we made it even easier to manage your files and be productive. We adjusted our app to make use of the extra screen real estate on the iPhone 6 and 6 Plus. Now you can see more files and folders on screen, and have more space for making edits to your Office documents.

Third, we also added the ability to sort your files and folders on your iPhone or iPad.

So go get the app update, turn on camera backup to get your extra 15 GB of storage, and please keep your thoughts and feedback coming through our UserVoice site!
