Completely turn off "Shadow Copy" (Vista Ultimate)

I have no need whatever for Shadow Copy.

Is there a way to turn it completely off?

Thanks,

hmmm..... perhaps you only think you don't need it, when in fact you do.
It's an integral part of OS.

Here's an excellent article on "Shadow Copy" and "Complete PC Backup and
Restore" from last month's Technet magazine:

Thanks for that pointer, I will read it carefully.

I am so happy with the backup/restore feature built into Vista that I
actually back up my Vista daily, therefore to me the shadow copy feature
seems redundant.

Others may feel otherwise, of course.

Just a word of thanks for that pointer.

Read the entire article, will also re-read it again to make certain I
did not miss anything important.

Still intend to turn Shadow Copies off, unless I can find a compelling
reason to keep them.

If I can find such a reason, I may merely reduce the space for Shadow
Copies, although the procedure for doing that reduction looks rather
formidable to me.

Thanks again,
