"Microsoft Windows Search Indexer Stopped Working and Has Closed "-poppup
How do I get rid of this thing? I need a simple answer. Cant restore back
far enough and I'm not sure of the root of this wild hair. This has Ghosted
me for weeks. Any suggestions from the gallery? Mucho obliged!

Hi Eric,

You might see if running through these steps in this tutorial will help fix the Search Index.

Re: Microsoft Windows Search Indexer Stopped Working...

A good thing to do would be to go to Control Panel\Indexing
Options\Advanced\Rebuild. It may take a while to rebuild the Index, and it
will go fairly fast if you stay off the keyboard and mouse for more than 45
seconds and until it finishes Indexing. Rebuilding should get it back to a
good state which should eliminate your error message. I like Indexing since
it makes many of my desktop searches very fast.

Another tip may be found at this URL:

Hope this helps.
