| | Autologon not such a good idea. I have noticed that vista boots up to a usable desktop faster if I logon manually, rather than let windows logon automatically. For me, boot time is significantly increased from ~94secs to ~45 secs (as logged in diagnositics-performance in the event viewer). I wonder if this is reproducible on other machines. |

I've noticed no difference (just tested it again to ensure no recent update caused a change). -- Best of Luck, Rick Rogers, aka "Nutcase" - Microsoft MVP http://mvp.support.microsoft.com/ Windows help - www.rickrogers.org My thoughts http://rick-mvp.blogspot.com "efishie" <efishie@xxxxxx> wrote in message news:2FD6B746-E90A-489B-95EB-A40E22B0698D@xxxxxx Quote: >I have noticed that vista boots up to a usable desktop faster if I logon > manually, rather than let windows logon automatically.
